Directly back to production
At PLAST, the international plastics and rubber exhibition, taking place from 29th May to 1st June 2018 in Milan, the systems to be presented by Vecoplan AG will include the VD 1100. The new shredder-granulator combination reduces the input material to the required output particle size in two stages. The regrind material can then be fed back into the production flow. As the system combines several working steps, the user has considerably lower investment and operating costs and, at the same time, high availability.
More and more plastics processors are relying on in-house recycling. This enables them to use uncontaminated raw materials and reduce manufacturing costs. Vecoplan supplies efficient machines such as the VD 1100 shredder-granulator combination for this purpose. The machine was developed in collaboration with the Aachen-based grinder specialist Heinrich Dreher GmbH & Co. KG. It combines the know-how of two system and machine builders in one housing. As an example, it shreds purgings, lumps and bulky objects, such as Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) canisters and drums, to the desired output particle size in two stages. The regrind material can therefore be reused directly. Combining several working steps in one machine enables the user to save considerable space in his workshop, as there is no need for him to install conveyor equipment nor to provide storage space for the waste material.
In Milan, Vecoplan will also be presenting the powerful V-ECO series, which enables a wide range of residual plastic materials, such as films, hard plastics, tissue and fibres, to be shredded efficiently. These machines are maintenance- and user-friendly. The hydraulic upwards-pivoting bottom flap and the downwards-pivoting screen enable the operator or service engineer to gain easy access to the rotor. He is able to immediately remove extraneous material, easily rotate or change counter-knives, and reconfigure the machine – for example to alter the screen perforation size when changing the charging material. The material is fed in continuously thanks to the angled design of the machine base and the
Press release steplessly adjustable slide controller. This ensures that the process is uninterrupted. An IBC can be shredded in just 30 seconds for example.
