Daniel Dittmann has been with Vecoplan since 2018, when he began as an assistant in work scheduling. In 2019 he became head of machining. During this period he gained initial management experience, for example in employee development, capacity planning, resource planning and investment planning. Other tasks included process optimisation and project implementation. Before joining the Westerwald-based company, the machinist took further training to become a state-certified mechanical engineer. “In my new position I want to move the company forward together with the heads of the other departments,” says Dittmann.
By filling this new position Vecoplan has completed the restructuring of its supply chain operations. “We’ve created a division between Technology and Operations, putting the focus on two important topics,” says CEO Werner Berens. “This will equip us for further growth.” However, he is also pleased with the successful restructuring: “In each area we were able to put our own staff members into new leadership roles – this not only demonstrates the quality of our personnel, it also shows that at Vecoplan we give dedicated employees a chance to develop and advance in their careers.”
