Energy-efficient wood shredding
During this year's W18 in Birmingham, Vecoplan will be presenting a VAZ waste shredder from its new robust series at stand A 506. This trade fair for the woodworking industry will take place from 30th September through to 3rd October and is an important biennial event for specialist visitors from throughout the world.
With the new compact VAZ series, Vecoplan has developed a durable, robust single-shaft shredder. Joiners, cabinet makers and carpenters, as well as wood processors, will benefit in particular from this reliable shredding component. Wood-processing companies can use this sturdy shredding solution to process chipboard, hardwood and solid wood waste, bark, cardboard or softwood, turning them into wood chips or material suitable for making briquettes.
With this single-shaft shredder, companies have a universal and frequently used machine to hand which, in most applications, can be managed without additional feeding systems. With the VAZ series, the user can feed in the collected materials directly and without metering. The hydraulically powered slide feeds this quickly and easily into the shredding mechanism. Since the rotor turns particularly slowly, it makes little noise or dust during vertical feeding.
What makes the VAZ so special is the patented ESC® drive: with motor output of 11 to 37 kW, the asynchronous motor with its powerful frequency converter is energy-efficient, inexpensive and economical in operation. The belt drive features sophisticated slippage control plus extraneous material detection. The cutting unit consists of a profiled rotor with easy-to-change reversible counter-knives.
With this new VAZ series, Vecoplan has succeeded in developing an economical solution and customers will particularly appreciate the machine's energy efficiency coupled with its high throughput.
