Energy-efficient wood processing
At Lesdrevmash, the international trade fair for machinery, equipment, fittings, tools and components for the woodworking and furniture industry (Moscow, 22 to 25 October), Vecoplan AG will be presenting the single-shaft shredder VAZ 80 for the processing of scrap wood.
At use of the VAZ 80, the input material is fed directly and without dosing into the hopper. The hydraulically driven ram feeds the material quick and easily to the rotor. Due to the low rotor speed, this vertically fed grinder operates quiet and almost dust-free. The VAZ 80 has a rotor diameter of 250 millimetres and a width of 800 millimetres. The series is equipped with the energy efficient ESC drive: a gearless variable-speed drive technology for 11 to 37 kilowatts motor power, designed to ensure minimal operating costs and maximum production.
Compared to competitive products its energy-saving potential is up to 25 percent by better efficiency.
Vecoplan will also provide information on its biomass chippers series 45, 60 and 85 that stand out due to their robust, reliable and powerful design. These stationary machines are horizontally fed by vibratory conveyor and achieve impressive throughputs.
The economic Vecoplan biomass chippers are designed with clamping plate rotor and are used in the production of large quantities of energy wood chips for thermal conversion in e.g. biomass power plants, or for the production of high-quality wood chips for the paper industry.
