When it came to shredding up to 1.5 tonnes of filaments, yarns and big bags every hour, Vecoplan®‘s customer needed above all a solution for the following three challenges:
1. The input material must be cut with utmost precision and cannot simply be torn apart. Only with this truly fine cutting process and the resulting homogeneity can the efficient reprocessing in the next production steps be assured.
2. It is imperative that the different materials do not get wound up around the rotor during the cutting process. Costly downtimes have resulted from this in the past with machines from other manufacturers.
3. The entire machine must be 100 % closed. The extremely fine nature of the material has led to material getting into the machine bearings of other manufacturer‘s machines in the past, causing costly damage and machine downtimes.
