A ripper with HiTorc-drive

The VRZ series is suitable for pre-shredding in recycling plants and the primary wood industry - especially for difficult, tough materials. It shred's domestic, commercial & bulky waste and biomass. The combination of a ripping shredder with the torque drive is something fundamentally new.

Operators save energy costs

The dynamic, powerful start-up and torque HiTorc series ensures efficient operation.

Because there is less mass to be propelled, the motors - drives with 2 x 138 kilowatts of power - achieve a favorable level of efficiency.

Absolutely insensitive to impurities

The developers placed great emphasis on a robust design.
In this way, components such as wear-resistant and replaceable sealing elements at the rotor and side wall prevents materials from sticking between the front surface of the rotor and the machine housing. Instead of conventional cutting tools, it is equipped with sickle-shaped ripping teeth. Unlike cutting tips, the teeth are armoured.

The VRZ shredder is robust, resistant to impurities, reliable and low-maintenance, making it ideally suited for the processing of roots interspersed with minerals or from waste wood contaminated with impurities

The machine safely break up  bulky materials, the shredder simply "tears the material apart". Even material interspersed with impurities, such as roots with minerals or waste wood interspersed with nails, is therefore no problem.

For example, the VRZ 2500 has an open cutting table. This makes sure that stones and other extraneous materials to fall through the cutting unit without shutting down the machine. This has been proven in extensive practical tests with different materials and successful continuous operation.

Low-maintenance operation

The drives have no mechanical components such as belts, clutches or hydraulic units, so hardly any maintenance work is needed compared to hydraulic drives.

The optimised machine design also means that the cutting frame and rotors can be replaced quickly, and time-consuming maintenance work such as reinforcing welding work can be performed outside the machine, significantly reducing downtimes.

VRZ – Vecoplan Ripping System

Tearing apart the input material has an impact on all components. For this reason, the VRZ is designed to be very robust and the HiTorc is an electromechanical drive without maintenance-prone mechanical elements.

Vecoplan development specialists placed a great deal of emphasis on the development of the VRZ, focusing on the safe pre-shredding of materials laden with extraneous items. They have created a machine that is not only resistant to extraneous items but is also robust, reliable and low-maintenance. At our customers, the shredders usually work uninterrupted for a very long period. Re-armouring the ripper teeth when they’re worn is more time-consuming than changing cutting tips and counter knives, but their running times are much longer. The bottom line is that this significantly reduces downtimes.

Vielseitiger Zerkleinerer für Altholz und Recycling

The shredder series has a modular design, so customers have various options for configuring a machine. Various cutting units - cutting tables and rotors - are available. These can also be easily exchanged in order to adjust the VRZ individually to the respective application or grain size.

Advantages short and to the point:

  • Robust design
  • Maximum reliability and availability
  • Optimised for maintenance and service
  • Increased energy efficiency
  • Lower operating costs, less wear
