Introduction

The protection of your personal data really matters to us. When you use this website, various personal data is collected. Your Rights

You have the following rights towards us regarding your personal data:

  • You can request information from us at any time and free of charge about your personal data which is processed by us
  • You may also have the right to have your data  corrected, updated or deleted
  • You also have a right to have processing restricted
  • You also have a right to data transferrability
  • You also have the right to complain to a regulatory authority. You can contact the regulatory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters

Objection to or revocation of the processing of your data

In many cases, data processing is only possible with your consent. If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke this at any time by sending us an informal e-mail: welcome@vecoplan.de. Once you have issued use this revocation, this has a bearing on the permission to process your personal data. The legality of the data processing carried out until the date consent is revoked remains unaffected by this.

If we base the processing of your personal data on our legitimate interests, you may object to the data being processed. This is the case if processing is not necessary in particular to fulfil a contract with you, which is set out by us in the following description of the functions. Should you exercise any such objection, we would ask you to explain the reasons why you would not like us to process your personal data as we have done. If your objection is justified, we will review the situation and either stop or adapt data processing  or set out our compelling, legitimate reasons for continuing with processing.

Data Collection when using our Website

Server log files

When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically transmits information to our website's server. The server then saves this data as log files.

In particular, the following data are usually automatically collected and stored by the provider of the pages:

  • IP address of the calling mobile device,
  • Operating system of the calling mobile device,
  • Name and version of the browser of the calling mobile device,
  • Name of the retrieved file,
  • Amount of data transferred in each case,
  • Date and time of retrieval.

The data is processed for the purposes of ensuring a trouble-free connection and to ensure optimum usability of our website, as well as for analysing system security and for other administrative purposes.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1), sentence 1(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the processing of your data for the purposes indicated. We do not draw any conclusions about you personally. The log files are stored for a maximum of 30 days and are then automatically deleted.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small items of text information that are stored as a file via your browser in the device. Cookies are not generally unsafe or risky, but allow user interaction and serve to control the Internet connection during your visit to our websites. At the same time, these cookies provide us with information that enables us to optimise our websites to suit the needs of our visitors.  The collection of personal data is based on our legitimate interests resulting from this in accordance with Art. 6(1) sentence 1(f) GDPR.

We mainly use session cookies on this website. They are automatically deleted as soon as you close your browser. Session cookies store a session ID, which makes it possible for your device to be identified again when you visit our website again. Other cookies (persistent cookies) are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which varies depending on the cookie. Cookies can be deleted in the security settings or the history of your browser at any time.

E-mail and Contact Form

Furthermore, your personal data will only be saved if you provide it yourself, for instance  in the context of contacting us or registering for an event. The personal data that you provide us via the contact form or by e-mail (e.g. your name and your address or your e-mail address) will only be processed for correspondence with you and only for the purpose for which you have made the data available to us.

Data processing for the purposes of contacting us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1). sentence 1(a) GDPR on the basis of your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time by e-mail to us. The legality of the data processing carried out until the date consent is revoked remains unaffected by this.

The personal data collected by us in the context of this contact will be deleted if the purpose of data storage no longer applies (after the enquiry has been dealt with), if you ask is to delete the data or revoke your consent to storage. Storage obligations and other mandatory legal provisions will remain unaffected.

Please note that unencrypted e-mails sent via the Internet are not sufficiently protected against unauthorised access by third parties.

Hub Spot

Our registration service allows visitors to our website to learn more about our company, download content, and provide their contact information and further demographic information. This information is stored on servers of our software partner HubSpot. It may be used by us to contact visitors to our website and to ascertain what services from our company are of interest to them. All the information we collect is subject to this Privacy Policy. We use all the information we collect solely to optimise our marketing.

We use HubSpot for our online marketing activities. It is an integrated software solution and we deploy it to cover various aspects of our online marketing.

They include:

  • E-mail marketing (newsletters and automated e-mails, for example about the provision of
    downloads)

Since personal data are transmitted to the U.S., further protective mechanisms are required to ensure the level of data protection stipulated by the GDPR. We have consequently agreed standard data protection clauses in accordance with Art. 46(2) (c) GDPR. They obligate the recipient of the data in the U.S. to process the data with a level of protection commensurate to that in Europe. In cases where that cannot be ensured by this supplemental contractual obligation, we endeavour to agree more extensive stipulations and pledges with the recipient in the U.S.

Social Media

On our pages, we do not use social media plugins but rather so-called social bookmarks from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. They are integrated as links to the corresponding services. After clicking the relevant icon, you are redirected to the website of the provider in question. In addition, if a website is forwarded via the "Share" button, the relevant website may appear as an activity in the user's profile for the providers indicated. When logged in, it is therefore possible to assign the data to your account.

We expressly point out that TikTok stores the data of the users of its services (for example, personal information, IP address, etc.) and may also use this data for business purposes. Google Web Fonts

We use the "Google Web Fonts" service from the third-party provider Google on our website for the purposes of uniformity in the representation of fonts. When you visit our site, your browser loads the respective fonts into your browser cache. Your browser connects to the servers of Google Inc. in order to perform this operation.   This tells Google that our site has been visited from your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is based on our legitimate interest in having texts and fonts displayed in a uniform and correct manner on our website, Art.  6(1) sentence 1(f)     GDPR. Deletion of your Data

Your data which are stored on our server will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose upon which processing based. We are bound by legal retention periods, e.g. tax retention periods, which may prevent the deletion of your data. If data are not deleted because they have to be kept for these time periods or are necessary for other and legally permissible purposes, we will restrict their processing.

Encryption and Data Security

Our server encrypts access and visits to our website with the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method. You can tell this from the closed view of the key symbol in the address line of the browser and by the fact that the address line of the browser changes to https://. If this encryption is active, it is not possible for third parties to read the data that you transmit to us.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, tampering or unauthorised access. We are improving these safety measures in step with technical progress.

Data Transmission

We will only transfer your personal data to third parties if you have given us your express consent to do so pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1(a) GDPR, if disclosure pursuant to 6(1) sentence 1(a) GDPR is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and if there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in not disclosing your data. In addition, we will pass on your data if we are legally obliged under Art. 6(1) sentence 1(c) GDPR to make the transfer legally permissible and under Art. 6(1) sentence 1(b) GDPR is required for the processing of contractual relationships with you. We sometimes use the services of other people and companies for individual tasks. In this context, it may be necessary to transfer your data to those third parties or to  order data processors.

Processing your data in a country outside the EU or transferring your data to any such third country by us or in the context of the use of services of third parties will only take place accordingly if it is for the fulfilment of our (pre)contractual obligations, on the basis of your consent, on the basis of a legal obligation or on the basis of our legitimate interests.
