Technical product designers specialise in machine and plant design and play an active role in the development of machines and systems. As a technical product designer, you’ll design and construct components, assemblies and complete systems in line with customer requirements. Your range of tasks will include creating individual part & assembly drawings, parts lists, assembly plans, spare parts lists and geometric designs in 3D. You will draw up planning proposals, foundation and execution plans and show various views and sections of machines and workpieces. Technical product designers ensure that their drawings are technically feasible and keep their eyes on costs at the same time.

Requirements

  • Secondary school level II (dt. Mittlere Reife)
  • Confident use of the computer
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Internship in this profession (desirable)
