„Sytematic Safety“ seal of approval awarded to VECOPLAN AG
Health and safety protection in the company systematically optimized
The time and efforts have paid off: For two years the approximately 350 employees of VECOPLAN AG provided essential input to acquire the seal of approval „Systematic Safety“ awarded by the Professional Association of wood and metal (BGHM). The compliance of the essential requirements of a safety management system is now approved with the official presentation of the label „Systematic Safety“ to the company for environmental technology located in Bad Marienberg. Ute Just, board of directors of the VECOPLAN AG, is convinced „The time required to build up the health and safety management system during the last two years is justified by the improved image, increased productivity through safe work procedures and a healthy staff also as the greater legal certainty for the company”.
After successful evaluation by Dr. Bernhard Rohde, Christian Starke and Stefan Schmitz (all BGHM) the seal of approval was presented to the company during a simple ceremony. For and on behalf of the VECOPLAN AG the team led by Ute Just (board of directors), Dirk Rüsing (production manager), Christian Stein (health and safety officer) and Markus Steinebach (shop chairman) received the award.
Together with the dedicated and highly qualified staff the company succeeded to permanently integrate the health and safety protection into the overall corporate organization. Accompanied by the BGHM a first inventory of existing company health and safety organization was carried out. Then, with the support of BGHM the operational structures and processes around the issue of safety and health have been focused and optimized systematically. The verifiably lived health and safety protection within the entire plant eased the companies’ efforts to implement the requirements of the label „Systematic Safety“.
