In April 2012 people from all over the world got together in Doha, Qatar. UNCTAD promotes the integration of developing countries into the world economy. The organization fulfills their mandate by concentrating on future central globalization development and sustainable growth and development in waste technologies. This forum for intergovernmental deliberations provides technical assistance of developing countries.

As an incentive for extraordinary engagement in development of waste treatment in their countries, VECOPLAN AG, represented by Ulrich Schulte (Managing Board), invited the two award winning women from South America to Edmonton, Canada, where Vecoplan AG is installing a Waste-to-Energy – System in the state-of-the-art recycling facility in North America.

This visit should transfer latest technology, know-how and experiences from leading recycling countries towards emerging countries in South America.
