With our VNZ series, you get high-performance secondary shredders in a robust design, which have been specially developed for the re-shredding of pre-crushed material to produce separable material for value and material use. Waste wood, pre-shredded domestic, industrial and commercial waste, production waste, straw, root wood and much more can be processed without any problems. Various rotor systems and geometries are available for optimum shredding performance with different material tasks.

Indestructible power thanks to a robust construction

The basis for efficient and trouble-free operation is the machine housing, consisting of a thick-walled, ribbed construction with optimum functional machine geometry.

The two solid steel rotors with their large flywheel masses ensure smooth machine operation and high throughput. The interaction of the two rotors with the common counter knife and the perforated screens results in a very separable and homogeneous output. Hydraulic maintenance doors facilitate the replacement of wear parts and the removal of impurities, even when the filling hopper is completely full.

Features

The HiTorc drive is a frequency-controlled, powerful high-torque motor with a variably adjustable speed range that can also start up under load. The virtually maintenance-free and noiseless drive has an energy saving of up to 60% compared to conventional drives.

The maintenance doors can be swivelled hydraulically. Due to the good accessibility, it facilitates the changing of wearing parts and the removal of impurities.

Due to the different screen perforations, the output grain size can be optimally adjusted. The screen basket is very easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance work.

The counter knife is multi-piece and hardened. The small blade gap optimises the cutting performance. The lowerable counter-knife cross-bar (pneumatic) supports maintenance work and the removal of impurities. The "flipper" (machine breakage protection) protects the machine from damage.

Waste wood

The processing of waste wood transforms wood waste of various types into a valuable secondary raw material. Besides the recovery of materials, efficient energy recovery is becoming increasingly important as a renewable energy source.

Bark

Bark can be thermally recycled as fuel and further processed into bark mulch or bark litter.

Wood composites

Modern composite materials preferably used for furniture, benches, outdoor flooring and similar applications.

Straw

Grain straw is used in biogas plants. The material is also used in the form of straw pellets for alternative heat generation. Straw is the primary material used in the production of bioethanol.

Coconut shells

Briquettes made from coconut shells burn longer than wood and can be used in crop-growing countries to replace wood from life-sustaining forests. The material is also suitable for use as a fuel in biomass plants and boiler plants. The fibres in coconut shells have excellent insulating properties and are used to this end.

Grasses

Some grasses, such as miscanthus and switchgrass, are called biomass grasses because of the large amounts of biogas they can produce.

Residual forest wood

Residual forest wood is often the raw material for mulch, but it is also used as animal feed. In addition, it is used as fuel in biomass CHP plants (combined heat & power plants).

Straw bales

Direct feeding of entire strawballs to shredders for downstream processes in energy and materials recovery offers several advantages. The work of unravelling the strawballs in advance is no longer necessary. Systems for the storage, conveyance and metred feeding round off the product portfolio for processing technology.

Green waste

Green waste is used as co-substrates for soil improvement and is increasingly incinerated for energy in biogas plants. Coarser fractions of wood can also be made into mulch.

Domestic waste

Residual waste is optimally handled by shredding it in mechanical-biological waste treatment plants (MBT) and separating the various recyclable materials from each other. Another use of residual waste is thermal utilisation in a waste incineration plant. The heat released is used both to generate electricity and to provide heat.

Bulky waste

Bulky waste chiefly includes discarded furniture, mattresses, wallpaper remnants and old carpets. Nowadays, most bulky waste can be recycled for materials and energy.

Industrial waste

Commercial municipal waste (also abbreviated to commercial waste) is municipal waste from sources other than private households, in particular commercial and industrial waste as well as waste from private and public institutions. This waste is similar to waste from private households due to its nature or composition and must be disposed of in the same way.

However, commercial municipal waste also includes other production-specific waste from other sources, such as workshop waste, cleaning rags containing mineral oil, paint buckets or non-infectious waste, leather waste, metal waste, including shavings from metalworking and metal processing.

Domestic waste

Typical residual waste from households offers little potential for material recycling. However, in the cement industry, the high-calorific fractions from the waste can be used as an alternative fuel. RDF manufacturers filter out these fractions by shredding and separating them.

Bulky waste

Largely homogeneous RDFs with good combustion and low pollutant properties can be produced, even from bulky waste.

Industrial waste

The non-recyclable materials from waste generated in industry and commerce can be processed into RDFs and used in power plants or the cement industry.

Sorting residues

In sorting plants for light packaging (LVP), the packaging items pass through various packaging items pass through various stations, at each of which a specific fraction of the material is sorted out of the material flow. Pressed into bales, the individual material fractions are then sent for recycling. Waste wood, used wood

Wood waste or even old pallets can be used as a renewable raw material for energy production. Effective processing is essential to produce a waste-based RDF.

Biomass

Residual materials are chiefly used as solid biogenic fuels – in other words, biomass that is hardly suitable for purposes other than incineration. For example, these materials include forest and industrial residual wood, waste wood, garden and park waste and straw.
