CUSTOMISED CONVEYING SYSTEMS

Case Burmeister EN

The Danish company Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor A/Sdevelops, constructs and markets biomass power station internationally.Vecoplan designed the conveying technology for five UK biomass combinedheat and power plants in Sleaford, Brigg, Londonderry, Widnes andSnetterton. Customised solutions for fuel feeding and processing were developed.

In addition to high system availability, strict criteria with respect totechnical safety and documentation presented particular challenges duringconstruction. Customised solutions were required for reliable transportationof waste wood and fresh wood. With patented technology (moveable rodsystem floors, bigsize loading and unloading conveyors) Vecoplan also mastered these tasks.

UTILISING SYNERGIES

The customer profited from the coordination of projects running almost simultaneously: A single contact was responsible for all the projects, meetings could be combined, technicians and commissioning staff supported more than one construction site, spare and wearing parts fit into all the Vecoplan® products.
